About

DCT was founded in 1991 as a local Swiss Hotel institute and as to update with the dynamic changes of the international hotel industry. It had its first intake of 20 international students in January of 1992. From this small beginning, the School has expanded its program offerings and grown to the present size which include students from over 45 different nations, with now over a thousand graduates who have received the valued DCT Diploma and are today working in leading positions in top hotels and restaurants as well as in many other tourism related positions all over the world.

DCT's mission is to provide quality post-secondary hospitality education based upon international standards, combining valued traditions with recent management techniques and methods, to develop graduates capable of meeting Swiss and international hospitality industry demands, and to provide a network for further education and employment opportunities.

School Campus: DCT's campus is located in the larger German speaking section of Switzerland, in the town of Vitznau which is at the foot of Mt. Rigi and on the shores of Lake Lucerne. In 2012, DCT will move its campus to downtown Lucerne.
