1. Theoretical and practical aspects in academic program
Most of the Swiss hotel management schools are former 5-star hotels, students live and study in hotel environment. Schools provide wide range of academic program, including diploma, higher diploma, university bachelor degree and master degree. Some of the schools even provide professional culinary program.
Every program includes not less then 8 months compulsory overseas paid internship. Students can choose to complete internship in different countries, such as United State, Britain, Australia, Dubai, etc. to have 4 to 6 months paid internship. Students not only can earn salaries, but also can learn practical hotel knowledge and explore to different cultures.
2. Diverse cultural study environment
Students experience a diverse cultural environment by studying with over 70 nationalities in universities. Students communicate and learn from each other through group discussions in-class and extra curriculum activities, which tremendously benefit to the multi national working environment in their future career.
3. Learn to be independent
University campuses were originally built as famous Swiss Hotels. Students can apply their theoretical and practical knowledge within a professional learning environment. Students live and study in the same campus with students in different terms and nationalities. They can learn to live in groups, at the same time learn to be independent.
Students develop independent thinking and problem solving skill through organizing various sizeable events and activities in schools. Moreover, students can widen their horizon in traveling to different Europe countries with their classmates.
4. Emphasis with language training
Switzerland comprises four main linguistic and cultural regions: German, French, and Italian, Romanian. In the universities, all subjects are conducted in English alongside with mandatory European language lesson in either French or German. Universities are located in French or German area, which help student to learn those languages. |
